The torso houses a cabin for a human. In the released video, the head of Unitree, Wang Xinxin, was inside the robot.
The android can move on two and four limbs. The video shows it breaking through a wall of concrete blocks. The company described the robot as a “civilian vehicle” and urged its use in a friendly and safe manner.
The GD01 model expands the product range of the Hangzhou-based firm, which has made significant strides recently.

The Chinese firm planned to sell up to 20,000 humanoid robots in 2026, compared to about 5,500 the previous year. The entry-level model, R1, is priced at around $6,000. The company sells these and other bots internationally through AliExpress.
Chinese-made androids have started appearing in airports and other logistics facilities.
Earlier, Japan Airlines, in collaboration with GMO AI & Robotics, initiated trials of humanoid robots for ground operations at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport.
