They estimate that in 2023, the market was in the first phase of the rally. Firstly, it is the most liquid and widely offered asset. <\/p>\n<p>Secondly, newcomers primarily focus on the first cryptocurrency. This is because <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/fifteen-years-since-the-first-bitcoin-transaction\">over 15 years<\/a>, Bitcoin has largely become a brand for the entire industry.<\/p>\n<p>In the next stage, some investors begin to seek tokens with higher growth potential underlying various use cases. In 2017-2018, these were assets related to <span data-descr=\"initial coin offering\" class=\"old_tooltip\">ICO<\/span>, while in 2020-2021, they were linked to DeFi and NFT.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cOur thesis is that altcoins underlying protocols that fit the product market and generate real revenues with strong <span data-descr=\"calculation of the profitability of a business's basic unit (customer or transaction)\" class=\"old_tooltip\">unit economics<\/span> will perform best in the upcoming cycle,\u201d the experts emphasized.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In their view, in the long term, the selection of tokens will be of paramount importance for investors, as leading growth can be expected in certain sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, amid Bitcoin&#8217;s price drop to $42,000 following the <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-approves-all-11-spot-bitcoin-etf-applications\">launch of spot ETFs<\/a>, altcoins <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bitcoins-bearish-scenario-deemed-unlikely-by-experts-after-dip-below-42000\">began to show<\/a> positive dynamics.<\/p>\n<p>According to forecasts by ETC Group&#8217;s head of research, Andre Dragos, and QCP Capital specialists, Ethereum will outpace the first cryptocurrency in growth rates in 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the final third of a cryptocurrency bull market rally, altcoins have historically outpaced Bitcoin in growth, according to experts at Pantera Capital.
