It weighs approximately 500 kg with the pilot inside.<\/p>\n<p>The torso houses a cabin for a human. In the released video, the head of Unitree, Wang Xinxin, was inside the robot.<\/p>\n<p>The android can move on two and four limbs. The video shows it breaking through a wall of concrete blocks. The company described the robot as a &#8220;civilian vehicle&#8221; and urged its use in a friendly and safe manner.<\/p>\n<p>The GD01 model expands the product range of the Hangzhou-based firm, which has made significant strides recently.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/telegram.org\/js\/telegram-widget.js?23\" data-telegram-post=\"forklogAI\/7071\" data-width=\"100%\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>In December 2025, six humanoid robots G1 <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/unitree-robots-perform-synchronized-somersault-at-concert\">performed<\/a> at a concert as backup dancers and executed a synchronized forward flip.<\/p>\n<p>In May 2026, a Buddhist ceremony <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/seoul-temple-ordains-robot-as-buddhist-monk\">took place<\/a> in Seoul, during which a humanoid robot from Unitree took vows and became a monk. At the ceremony, it was dressed in traditional grey-brown Buddhist attire.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese firm <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/unitree-aims-to-sell-20000-robots-following-spectacular-gala-performance\">planned<\/a> to sell up to 20,000 humanoid robots in 2026, compared to about 5,500 the previous year. The entry-level model, R1, is priced at around $6,000.
