Since the beginning of May, the asset has appreciated by more than 70%.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, the token is trading around $577, marking a 36.6% increase over the past 24 hours.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/img-a08bee2f6eede0e0-3669843845108506.webp\" alt=\"image\" class=\"wp-image-279627\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Hourly chart of ZEC\/USDT on Binance. Truly private and seizure-resistant assets are becoming increasingly sought after, and ZEC is the purest public way to express this bet,&#8221; he wrote.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>However, Jain did not disclose the exact amount invested in Zcash.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The statement marked a shift in Multicoin&#8217;s position, which in 2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/multicoin.capital\/2019\/09\/24\/privacy-is-a-feature\/\">described<\/a> privacy as &#8220;a feature of valuable cryptocurrencies, not a standalone product.&#8221; At that time, the company argued that users did not need to sell Bitcoin or Ethereum for ZEC.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Additional Factors Driving ZEC Upward<\/h2>\n<p>An additional positive factor was the <a href=\"https:\/\/robinhood.com\/us\/en\/crypto\/ZEC\/\">listing<\/a> of Zcash on the Robinhood platform at the end of April. The token was made available for spot trading, expanding access for retail investors.<\/p>\n<p>In the cryptocurrency network, there is also a continued structural growth in the supply of coins on fully private addresses (shielded supply).
