The attack caused issues with &#8220;bad debts&#8221; in the lending protocol <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-aave\">Aave<\/a>, forcing the community to seek emergency loans and donations.<\/p>\n<p>The second largest was the breach of <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/drift-protocol-on-solana-loses-280m\">Drift Protocol<\/a> on the <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-solana-sol\">Solana<\/a> platform, with damages exceeding $280 million. Project representatives stated that the attack was not due to a code bug. According to them, it was a planned operation prepared over six months using social engineering techniques.<\/p>\n<p>Another notable case was the hack of the <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/hacker-breaches-hyperbridge-mints-1-billion-polkadot-tokens\">Hyperbridge<\/a> protocol on the <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-polkadot-dot\">Polkadot<\/a> network: the project lost $2.5 million due to forged <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-are-cross-chain-bridges\">cross-chain<\/a> messages. About $3.5 million of the total was due to phishing.<\/p>\n<p>On April 30, attackers breached the Wasabi project, causing damages <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/hacker-extracts-over-5-million-from-wasabi-protocol\">exceeding<\/a> $5 million.<\/p>\n<p>On April 28, the Ethereum infrastructure project Syndicate was hacked. Cybersecurity experts estimated the losses at $330,000.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, attackers breached the Aftermath Finance exchange in the Sui ecosystem, extracting about $900,000 in USDC.<\/p>\n<p>A day earlier, the L1 network ZetaChain was affected. Developers stated that the incident only impacted the team&#8217;s internal wallets.
