The firm also admitted that the blocks would reduce its revenue by about a third.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The decision will affect all bloXroute Labs relays, including bloXroute Max Profit, which previously ranked as the second-largest censorship-resistant MEV relay with more than 380,000 blocks created.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-web3\">Web3<\/a>-project Labrys team noted that censorship should be avoided at the protocol level and applied only within the scope of specific applications.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Like the internet, censorship should be avoided at the protocol level and instead, rules and regulations are best applied at the application level.<\/p>\n<p>Given <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ethereum?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@ethereum<\/a> is a global infrastructure, more countries could enforce their own sanctions, which could make it \u201cimpossible\u201d to\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Labrys (@Labrys_io) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Labrys_io\/status\/1737000093516185777?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 19, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cEthereum is a global infrastructure; more countries could impose their own sanctions, which could make it \u2018impossible\u2019 to mine a block that complies with all regulatory regimes around the world,\u201d the company added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Community members <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/vincenttaglia\/status\/1736903092723949939\">argue<\/a> that the tightening of compliance measures limits avenues to a \u201ctrustworthy neutrality\u201d for Ethereum. Some have even abandoned using bloXroute.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mevwatch.info\/\">mevWatch<\/a>, about 36% of blocks are currently censored due to OFAC, compared with a peak of 78% on November 20. Data: mevWatch.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Earlier, Tether <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/tether-blocks-161-addresses-on-ofac-sdn-list\">blocked<\/a> 161 addresses from the OFAC list. Of them, 150 turned out to be empty.
