This was stated by Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko on the <a href=\\\"https:\/\/unchainedcrypto.com\/podcast\/anatoly-yakovenko-on-solanas-astounding-recovery-and-its-future-plans\/\\\">Unchained<\/a> podcast.<\/p>\n<p>He also spoke of ongoing training of specialists who are being prepared for potential launches of new smartphone models.<\/p>\n<p>Solana Labs introduced Saga <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/solana-team-unveils-saga-a-web3-focused-smartphone\">in June 2022<\/a>. The hardware and software of the phone integrate Web3 <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-web3\">features<\/a>, enabling it to function as a hardware wallet.<\/p>\n<p>On whether the SOL token would be classified as a security by the <span data-descr=\\\"U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">SEC<\/span>, Yakovenko said he had not received direct accusations from the regulator. The current situation depends less on the company, so Yakovenko expects action from the US Congress.<\/p>\n<p>According to the project head, despite SOL&#8217;s strong performance in 2023, the Solana ecosystem did not see a corresponding growth in active developers. However, the project has managed to fix issues with network outages and a shortage of providers.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier Yakovenko <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/solana-co-founder-says-ethereum-could-serve-as-a-layer-2-solution-for-the-network\">allowed<\/a> using Ethereum as <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-layer%e2%80%912-solution-in-blockchain\">a second\u2011layer solution<\/a> for Solana.
