While the timelines are inherently uncertain,&#8221; the statement says.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Grayscale CFO said that after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approves the instrument, investors will not need to take any further action. Their GBTC assets will be converted into shares on NYSE Arca.<\/p>\n<p>The lead legal officer of the asset manager could not name even rough timelines for the launch of a spot Bitcoin ETF. In his words, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-price-surpasses-27500-after-court-ruling-in-grayscales-favour\">a court ruling in favor of Grayscale<\/a> and the conversion of GBTC into an exchange-traded fund is an unprecedented situation.<\/p>\n<p>In September, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/grayscale-urges-the-sec-to-promptly-approve-a-spot-bitcoin-etf\">asked<\/a> the SEC to promptly approve the instrument. In October, a court <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/court-orders-sec-to-reconsider-grayscales-spot-bitcoin-etf-application\">ordered the regulator<\/a> to reconsider the relevant application. In November, the parties <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/grayscale-discussed-details-of-a-spot-bitcoin-etf-with-the-sec\">discussed the details<\/a> of the spot Bitcoin ETF.<\/p>\n<p>Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz also called the approval of the Bitcoin ETF <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/mike-novogratz-approval-of-a-spot-bitcoin-etf-only-a-matter-of-time\">a matter of time<\/a>. In the view of SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce, this should have been done <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/hester-peirce-bitcoin-etf-should-have-been-approved-five-years-ago\">five years ago<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-opens-comment-period-on-spot-bitcoin-etf\">began collecting public feedback<\/a> on the instrument.
