{"id":86719,"date":"2023-11-07T17:57:18","date_gmt":"2023-11-07T15:57:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=86719"},"modified":"2025-09-13T07:19:53","modified_gmt":"2025-09-13T04:19:53","slug":"tax-bill-on-cryptocurrency-transactions-submitted-to-verkhovna-rada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/tax-bill-on-cryptocurrency-transactions-submitted-to-verkhovna-rada\/","title":{"rendered":"Tax bill on cryptocurrency transactions submitted to Verkhovna Rada"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 7 November, in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine <a href=\\\"https:\/\/itd.rada.gov.ua\/billInfo\/Bills\/Card\/43123\\\">was submitted<\/a> a bill regulating the taxation of cryptocurrency operations in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Alongside it, for consideration by the parliamentary leadership, the updated version of the law \\&#8221;On Virtual Assets\\&#8221; incorporating the MiCA provisions of the European regulation, as well as related bills amending various regulatory acts, were submitted.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The date of the first reading will be scheduled later, after the documents pass through the relevant committees and the Verkhovna Rada&#8217;s Scientific Expert Office issues conclusions.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>As noted, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ukraine-passes-law-on-virtual-assets\">adopted in September 2021<\/a> law \\&#8221;On Virtual Assets\\&#8221; will not come into force until changes are made to Ukraine&#8217;s Tax Code.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Due to the absence of a regulatory framework, cryptocurrency exchanges are not paying taxes in the country yet. In early June <span data-descr=\\\"National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">\u041d\u041a\u0426\u0411\u0424\u0420<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ukraine-presents-bill-to-tax-bitcoin-operations\">presented<\/a> a draft law.
