Recently the team began studying the possibility of integrating protocols and <span data-descr=\\\"decentralized applications\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">dapps<\/span><\/em>,\u201d \u2014 he said.<\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Kraken is currently posting a <a href=\\\"https:\/\/jobs.lever.co\/kraken\/d995b941-43d4-41e6-8cc6-f81f2b7045c4\\\">vacancy<\/a> for a senior cryptography engineer. The duties will include &#8216;designing and implementing L2 solutions&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The public launch <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-base-coinbases-l2\">Base<\/a> took place <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/coinbase-expands-access-to-base-l2-mainnet\">in early August<\/a>. Developers were able to use the protocol <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/coinbases-base-l2-solution-opens-mainnet-to-developers\">as of July 13<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Within 24 hours of broad access to the network, it <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/coinbases-base-l2-network-overtakes-starknet-in-tvl\">rose to fifth place<\/a> in TVL among L2 solutions.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In October, developers<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/coinbases-base-l2-network-opens-source-code\"> opened the source code<\/a> of smart contracts and repositories on GitHub.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kraken is in talks with Polygon, Matter Labs and Nil Foundation about a potential partnership to launch a Layer-2 solution modeled on Coinbase.
