{"id":86579,"date":"2023-11-03T17:02:11","date_gmt":"2023-11-03T15:02:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=86579"},"modified":"2025-09-13T06:28:16","modified_gmt":"2025-09-13T03:28:16","slug":"coinbase-launches-crypto-futures-trading-for-u-s-residents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/coinbase-launches-crypto-futures-trading-for-u-s-residents\/","title":{"rendered":"Coinbase launches crypto-futures trading for U.S. residents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Coinbase platform, via its subsidiary Coinbase Financial Markets<a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.coinbase.com\/blog\/us-traders-can-now-trade-regulated-leveraged-crypto-futures-through-coinbase\\\"> \u043e\u0442\u043a\u0440\u044b\u043b\u0430<\/a> retail clients in the United States access to trading of regulated crypto futures settled in USD.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\"><p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Contracts denominated at 1\/100 of a Bitcoin and 1\/10 of an Ethereum are intended for retail traders<\/em>,\u201d according to the release.<\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The launch of the service was preceded by <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/coinbase-to-offer-access-to-crypto-futures-after-us-regulators-approval\"> obtaining<\/a> in August approval from the CFTC-authorized self-regulatory organization <span data-descr=\\\"U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">CFTC<\/span> <span data-descr=\\\"U.S. National Futures Association\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">NFA<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Then Coinbase&#8217;s vice president of institutional products, Greg Tousar, described the event as a \u201ccritical milestone\u201d for the company.
