The forecast also more than doubles the <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-price-hits-all-time-high-at-69000\">historic high<\/a> of $69,000 reached by the cryptocurrency in November 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Senior Bernstein analyst Gautam Chhugani believes the <span data-descr=\\\"U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">SEC<\/span> will approve the first Bitcoin ETFs in early 2024. This product will allow ordinary investors to access the cryptocurrency directly from their investment portfolios.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>According to the expert, as a result Bitcoin funds <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bernstein-a-spot-bitcoin-etf-could-help-kick-start-a-new-crypto-cycle\">accumulate up to 10%<\/a> of the total supply of digital gold. Currently the only such instrument on the market is Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) from Grayscale, which accounts for about 3% of the issuance.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\"><p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>\\&#8221;You may not like Bitcoin as much as we do, but a dispassionate view of it as a commodity suggests a cycle turning. A good idea is as good as the timing is right \u2014 approval of the SEC-approved ETF by leading global asset managers (<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-takes-up-review-of-spot-bitcoin-etf-applications\">BlackRock, Fidelity and others<\/a>) seems inevitable,\\&#8221; wrote Chhugani.<\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The expert made his forecast in a report that analyzed the operations of several mining companies in light of the approaching <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-the-bitcoin-halving\">halving<\/a> of Bitcoin. According to Chhugani, the halving, due in April, will \\&#8221;wash out\\&#8221; weak players from the industry. However, it will open \\&#8221;a path to bigger profits\\&#8221; for the survivors, he emphasised.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Chhugani&#8217;s assessment roughly matched Matrixport analysts&#8217; forecast, who predicted <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/matrixport-bitcoin-to-reach-125000-by-end-2024\">Bitcoin rising to $125,000<\/a> by the end of 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bitcoin&#8217;s price could rise to $150,000 by January 2025 as a result of the United States approving spot Bitcoin ETFs.
