Deribit&#8217;s open interest (OI) stood at $12.4 billion, approaching historic highs.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/1-800.webp\" alt=\"1-800\" class=\"wp-image-218709\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Data: The Block.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>The platform&#8217;s CEO Luuk Strayers explained that the uptick in activity was driven by expectations of approval for the spot Bitcoin-<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-cryptocurrency-etf\">ETF<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the publication, professional traders have grown more optimistic. In interviews, sources said new buyers have entered the market and are rapidly buying calls.<\/p>\n<p>As reported, on October 23 the proposed BlackRock ETF \u2014 iShares Bitcoin Trust \u2014 appeared in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dtcc.com\/products\/cs\/exchange_traded_funds_plain_new.php\"> \u0441\u043f\u0438\u0441\u043a\u0435 \u0430\u043a\u0442\u0438\u0432\u043e\u0432 DTCC<\/a>, for which the company provides post-trade, clearing and settlement services.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Matrixport analysts forecast a rise in digital gold if the product is approved to<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/matrixport-etf-approval-could-push-bitcoin-to-56000\"> $42 000-56 000<\/a>.
