This was reported by <a href=\\\"https:\/\/tass.ru\/ekonomika\/18989621\\\">\u00ab\u0422\u0410\u0421\u0421\u00bb<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe world of cryptocurrency will eventually merge with the world of traditional financial instruments. \u2026 When cryptocurrency is allowed in Russia, we will be the first to trade it,\u201d he emphasised.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The exchange chief noted that in 2017 the company had already attempted to launch a trading platform for digital assets.<\/p>\n<p>In his view, it is better for \u201c10 million investors\u201d to interact with Russian infrastructure rather than with a foreign company that provides \u201ceducational services\u201d on the local market.<\/p>\n<p>Since January 2021, Russia has had the Law on Digital Financial Assets, developed by the Bank of Russia. It provides for a ban on paying for goods and services with cryptocurrencies. At the same time, the document recognises such financial instruments as property.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about the new legislation, lawyers agreed that <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/lawyers-on-the-digital-currency-bill-its-easier-to-give-up-bitcoin-than-to-work-under-these-rules\">it\u2019s easier to abandon Bitcoin than to operate under such rules<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The 2022 sanctions did not soften the regulator&#8217;s stance. The Bank of Russia continues to advocate a total ban on the circulation and mining of cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n<p>The central bank also presented its own <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/media-bank-of-russia-drafts-bills-to-ban-bitcoin-and-impose-fines-up-to-1-million-rubles\">regulation proposals<\/a> and sent them to the Ministry of Finance.
