The appellate court<a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/23988843-sbfca2order092123\">denied the motion<\/a> by his lawyers for release.<\/p>\n<p>On September 8, the defense for the former FTX chief <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/lawyers-seek-release-for-sam-bankman-fried-over-poor-internet-access\">requested<\/a> his release before trial, citing a lack of adequate internet access in prison.<\/p>\n<p>In August, a federal judge<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sam-bankman-fried-jailed-ahead-of-trial\">revoked his bail release<\/a> and remanded him in custody until the next hearing, scheduled for October.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>The record shows that the district court considered all relevant factors in the case, including the defendant-appellant&#8217;s conduct during the period that required multiple tightening of his detention conditions,<\/em> \u2014 the document states.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier this month, the judge<a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.nysd.590940\/gov.uscourts.nysd.590940.287.0.pdf\">granted<\/a> the prosecution&#8217;s motion to block each of the proposed SBF expert witnesses. The ruling also noted the denial of the defense&#8217;s motion to bar the government-called witness from testifying.<\/p>\n<p>The defense has the option to renew their bid to call individuals from this list. But DOJ officials may again object, according to the ruling.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Bankman-Fried <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sam-bankman-fried-accused-of-bribing-a-chinese-official\">was indicted on<\/a> 13 counts. Subsequently, prosecutors <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/us-prosecutors-seek-to-detain-sam-bankman-fried-pending-trial\">dropped the charges<\/a> related to financing some politicians as part of a deal with the defense. The founder of FTX <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sam-bankman-fried-refuses-to-plead-guilty-trial-set-for-october\">has not pleaded guilty<\/a> to any of the counts, including <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/reuters-bankman-fried-pleads-not-guilty-to-bribery-of-chinese-official\">the bribery of a Chinese official<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, journalists <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/journalists-reveal-the-role-of-sbfs-parents-in-building-the-ftx-empire\">revealed the role<\/a> of SBF&#8217;s parents in building the FTX business empire.
