This is required under Binance&#8217;s rules for the country you selected during verification,\u201d such a message appears when attempting to buy or sell foreign currency.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"wp-block-text-wrappers-update-2 article_update\"><time class=\"gtb_text-wrappers_update_time\">28 August 2023 | 09:27<\/time><span class=\"gtb_text-wrappers_update_head\">Update: <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Representatives from Binance <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/binance_ru\/4362\" title=\"\">confirmed<\/a> the restrictions for customers from Russia.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cRussian users living outside Russia, verified with address confirmation, may continue trading on Binance P2P in all other fiat currencies, except RUB, EUR, USD and UAH,\u201d the company added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p>It is not yet clear whether this ban is temporary or permanent.<\/p>\n<p>On 22 August <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/finance\/binance-cryptocurrency-russia-sanctions-ddb948c3\">WSJ<\/a>, citing sources, reported that the U.S. Department of Justice is conducting an investigation into Binance in relation to possible sanctions violations against Russia.<\/p>\n<p>After this, the exchange <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/binance-drops-sber-and-tinkoff-names-amid-us-doj-investigation\">replaced<\/a> the card names \u201cSber\u201d and \u201cTinkoff\u201d with \u201cgreen\u201d and \u201cyellow\u201d on the P2P platform.
