The move comes amid increased market interest in the asset following<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/partial-victory-details-and-implications-of-the-secs-ripple-case\"> partial victory<\/a> for Ripple over the <span data-descr=\"Securities and Exchange Commission\" class=\"old_tooltip\">SEC<\/span> in court.<\/p>\n<p>In July 2023, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York <a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.nysd.551082\/gov.uscourts.nysd.551082.874.0.pdf\">came to the conclusion<\/a> that Ripple&#8217;s programmatic sales and other distributions of XRP tokens do not constitute an offer and sale of investment contracts.<\/p>\n<p>The new instrument from BIT is denominated in US dollars.<\/p>\n<p>The token has become the sixth to be offered on the platform as a base asset, alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano (ADA), Toncoin (TON) and Milady (LADYS).<\/p>\n<p>BIT believes that XRP options will help manage portfolio risk and enable speculation.<\/p>\n<p>The institutional liquidity provider Orbit Markets will provide initial liquidity for the new contract.<\/p>\n<p>The court&#8217;s ruling in the SEC v. Ripple case became the basis for major crypto exchanges <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/coinbase-and-binance-announce-xrp-relisting\"> resume trading XRP <\/a> for US users.
