However, it is not yet clear whether Salame will plead guilty and testify against co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried, they added.<\/p>\n<p>Salame&#8217;s ex-colleagues \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/caroline-ellison-and-gary-wang-plead-guilty-to-ftx-collapse-related-charges\">Gary Wang, Caroline Ellison<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-accuses-former-ftx-top-executive-of-deceiving-investors\">Nishad Singh<\/a> \u2014 have already pleaded guilty to involvement in the alleged multi-billion-dollar fraud at the collapsed crypto empire. They will become key witnesses <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/judge-denies-motion-to-dismiss-most-charges-against-sbf\">in the case against Bankman-Fried<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg reports that the former FTX Digital Markets co-head had not previously faced charges related to the collapse of the crypto exchange. Authorities charged Salame with violations of campaign finance laws.<\/p>\n<p>In April, the <span data-descr=\"Federal Bureau of Investigation\" class=\"old_tooltip\">FBI<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/media-reports-raid-at-home-of-former-ftx-executive\">conducted a search<\/a> of his residence in Potomac, Maryland.
