The information comes from <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.kommersant.ru\/doc\/6147368\\\">Kommersant<\/a>, citing the letter.<\/p>\n<p>In particular, the ABR proposed banning mandatory opening of a digital account, limiting fee increases charged by the operator of the digital ruble (the Bank of Russia) for individuals, and prohibiting unilateral changes to the contract by the operator.<\/p>\n<p>Banks also ask the regulator to clarify:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>whether the Bank of Russia will reimburse costs of providing clients with access to the digital ruble platform;<\/li>\n<li>whether banks will become participants in the platform and how their infrastructure should change in that case.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally, the ABR noted ambiguity in the interpretation of the procedure for debiting digital rubles from an account, and several other points.<\/p>\n<p>The Bank of Russia said it would consider the appeal in the prescribed manner.<\/p>\n<p>The regulator previously set out <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bank-of-russia-sets-out-safeguards-for-digital-ruble-transactions\">requirements<\/a> for information security of digital ruble transactions.<\/p>\n<p>The digital ruble law, which enshrines the possibility of settlements using this asset, came into force <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/russia-legally-recognises-foreign-cbdcs\">1 August<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Russian citizens will be able to use the digital ruble en masse <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/central-bank-outlines-timelines-for-broad-rollout-of-the-digital-ruble\">from 2025\u20132027<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Association of Banks of Russia has approached the Bank of Russia with proposals for the digital ruble, citing an extremely wary attitude among citizens toward the asset.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":82696,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"select":"1","news_style_id":"1","cryptorium_level":"","_short_excerpt_text":"","creation_source":"","_metatest_mainpost_news_update":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[345,1229,1165],"class_list":["post-82695","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-and-analysis","tag-bank-of-russia","tag-banks-and-fintech","tag-digital-ruble"],"aioseo_notices":[],"amp_enabled":true,"views":"14","promo_type":"1","layout_type":"1","short_excerpt":"","is_update":"","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/82695","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=82695"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/82695\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":82697,"href":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/82695\/revisions\/82697"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/82696"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=82695"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=82695"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=82695"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
