However, according to them, this is impossible, since the code critical to performance was entirely copied from them.<\/p>\n<p>Co-founder and CEO of Matter Labs Alex Glukhovsky <a href=\\\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/gluk64\/status\/1687263207860166656?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1687263207860166656%7Ctwgr%5E8449fd13827420bf32b7167a2428746a276902ae%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fcointelegraph.com%2Fnews%2Fpolygon-zero-matter-labs-ceo-vehemently-denies-copy-pasting-code-from-polygon-zero\\\">rejected<\/a> Polygon&#8217;s arguments. He said that every decision made in creating zkSync was based on \\&#8221;honesty and transparency\\&#8221;.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\u00abToday&#8217;s allegations are unfounded, misleading and deeply disappointing, especially coming from a team I greatly respect. \u2026 Only about 5% of Boojum&#8217;s code is based on Plonky2,\u00bb he wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Glukhovsky added that both projects are interpretations of the RedShift protocol, which was created long before Polygon&#8217;s ZK solution appeared.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, in the technical document and the opening lines of Boojum&#8217;s code contain acknowledgments and references to the creators of Plonky2, according to the head of Matter Labs.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2023, the developers launched the alpha version of zkSync Era.
