been filed to launch<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-cryptocurrency-etf\"> ETF<\/a> based on Ethereum futures.<\/p>\n<p>The Commission will consider:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/1884021\/000138713123009033\/ethu-485apos_072823.htm\">Ether Strategy ETF<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/1928561\/000138713123009144\/bitwiseeth-485apos_051023.htm\">Bitwise Ethereum Strategy ETF<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/1683471\/000089418923005285\/roundhilletherstrategy485a.htm\">Roundhill Ether Strategy ETF<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/1137360\/000113736023000537\/vaneckethereumstrategyetf4.htm\">Ethereum Strategy ETF<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/1174610\/000168386323005798\/f12484d1.htm\">Proshares Ether Strategy ETF<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/1976672\/000168035923000254\/gftn1aa082023.htm\">Grayscale Ethereum Futures ETF<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also in recent days asset manager Direxion sent regulators a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/1424958\/000119312523201742\/d268575d485apos.htm\">proposal<\/a> for approval of an ETF based on a basket of CME-traded Bitcoin and Ethereum futures.<\/p>\n<p>To date, the Commission has rejected all Bitcoin ETFs: an exception was made for <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-quietly-approves-first-futures-based-bitcoin-etf\">ProShares<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-approves-futures-based-bitcoin-etfs-from-vaneck-and-valkyrie-investments\">Valkyrie Investments<\/a>, which are based on CME futures on the first cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n<p>In a discussion with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/post\/242864\/ethereum-futures-become-latest-etf-craze-as-applications-tumble-in\">The Block<\/a>, ETF Store president Nate Geraci called the approval of an Ethereum futures-based ETF a &#8220;real possibility&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Similar instruments are traded in<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/canada-approves-worlds-first-ethereum-based-etfs\"> Canada<\/a> and<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/brazil-becomes-first-in-latin-america-to-approve-an-ethereum-etf\"> Brazil<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the United States, applications for Ethereum ETF were filed by<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/kelly-strategic-management-files-to-launch-ethereum-futures-etf\"> Kelly Strategic Management<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/wisdomtree-files-with-sec-to-launch-ethereum-etf\">WisdomTree<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/kryptoin-files-to-register-ethereum-etf-in-the-united-states\">Kryptoin<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bloomberg-analyst-raises-odds-of-bitcoin-etf-approval-to-2-to-1\"> has raised the odds of approval<\/a> of a spot Bitcoin ETF based on digital gold to 65%.<\/p>\n<p>The expert explained that decisive factors for the Bitcoin ETF will be events around <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/partial-victory-details-and-implications-of-the-secs-ripple-case\">the SEC case against Ripple<\/a>, and<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/grayscale-sues-sec-over-refusal-to-convert-gbtc-into-an-etf\">the Grayscale lawsuit<\/a> concerning the GBTC
