The scanning is performed with the Orb device.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cOne person is verified every eight seconds,\u201d Altman said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The core product of the project\u2014the World ID protocol\u2014is based on <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-zero-knowledge-proof\">zero-knowledge proofs<\/a>. It is a mobile tool that allows people to verify their identity by scanning their retina or by using a phone number.<\/p>\n<p>On July 24, Worldcoin <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sam-altmans-worldcoin-project-launches-its-own-token\">announced<\/a> the official launch and release of the native token WLD. The listing of the new coin was supported by crypto exchanges Binance, Bybit and OKX.<\/p>\n<p>The token is currently trading at $2.24, virtually unchanged on the day. The company pledged to take the necessary measures to combat such schemes.<\/p>\n<p>In July, Worldcoin<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/uk-regulator-to-examine-worldcoins-activities\">attracted<\/a> the UK Information Commissioner&#8217;s Office.
