Previously journalists criticised Kennedy for promoting the digital asset, since he did not himself own it.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI bought two bitcoins for each of my seven children. Now I\u2019m a crypto investor. I\u2019m sure the media will find another way to attack me, but no one will be able to say that I did not put my money into what I talked about,\u201d said the presidential candidate.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Kennedy also repeated his thesis that Bitcoin is \u201ccurrency of freedom\u201d. Previously he <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/john-f-kennedys-nephew-criticises-cbdc-and-speaks-in-defence-of-bitcoin\">called<\/a> digital gold as an alternative to the traditional financial system, and <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/robert-f-kennedy-jr-john-f-kennedys-nephew-criticised-the-sec-for-a-war-on-crypto\">criticised<\/a> American regulators for the \u201cwar on cryptocurrencies\u201d, which led to a banking crisis in the country.<\/p>\n<p>In case of victory in the election Kennedy <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/us-presidential-candidate-outlines-plans-to-back-bitcoin\">pledged<\/a> to make decisions that would \u201csupport Bitcoin and the freedom of transactions, allowing people to manage their wallets, nodes and passwords.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In July he already admitted that he personally <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/us-presidential-candidate-invested-about-250000-in-bitcoin\">invested in the first cryptocurrency about $250,000<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As reported, the politician <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/us-presidential-candidate-pledges-to-back-the-dollar-with-bitcoin-to-stabilise-it\">stated his intention<\/a> to \u201cstabilise\u201d the US dollar with Bitcoin and exempt the income from operations with it from taxation.<\/p>\n<p>One of Kennedy&#8217;s Republican rivals\u2014the Florida governor Ron DeSantis\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/us-presidential-candidate-pledges-to-defend-bitcoin\">promised<\/a> to defend the first cryptocurrency if elected as head of state.<\/p>\n<p>CEO Coinbase Brian Armstrong <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/coinbase-ceo-says-us-elections-could-be-a-turning-point-for-crypto-regulation\">called<\/a> the upcoming US elections a pivotal moment for the regulation of digital assets.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>US presidential candidate Robert F.
