Data from <a href=\"https:\/\/news.crunchbase.com\/web3\/crypto-blockchain-startup-vc-funding-falling-data\">Crunchbase<\/a> show.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Snimok-ekrana-2023-07-18-v-15.58.56.webp\" alt=\"Snimok-ekrana-2023-07-18-v-15.58.56\" class=\"wp-image-211774\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Quarterly dynamics of venture investments in Web3. Data: Crunchbase.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The total number of deals also fell by 51% \u2014 from 659 to 322. This is the lowest level since the end of 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Experts highlighted the three largest deals of the second quarter:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Swiss project Islamic Coin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crunchbase.com\/organization\/islamic-coin\">raised $200 million<\/a> under ABO Digital;<\/li>\n<li>Omnichain protocol LayerZero closed a funding round <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crunchbase.com\/organization\/layerzero-labs\/investor_financials\">for $120 million<\/a> led by Sequoia;<\/li>\n<li>Sam Altman\u00019s Worldcoin <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/worldcoin-team-led-by-sam-altman-raises-115m-in-series-c-funding\">raised $115 million<\/a> under the leadership of Blockchain Capital.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the first six months of 2023, projects attracted only $3.6 billion in funding. Last year, venture deals in the same period totalled $16 billion.<\/p>\n<p>According to analysts, the decline is linked to large investors shifting to the artificial intelligence sector, which in the first half of this year attracted $25 billion.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cPerhaps we have found the bottom of the market for investor interest in Web3,\u201d Crunchbase suggested.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The company also noted that the decline in venture funding occurred amid rising Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
