{"id":81835,"date":"2023-07-18T11:49:57","date_gmt":"2023-07-18T08:49:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=81835"},"modified":"2025-09-12T01:27:03","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T22:27:03","slug":"binance-to-cut-employee-benefits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/binance-to-cut-employee-benefits\/","title":{"rendered":"Binance to cut employee benefits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bitcoin exchange Binance is preparing to cut corporate perks for employees, citing a decline in profits. <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/binance-cuts-back-employee-benefits-citing-decline-in-profit-51d51cf7\\\">The Wall Street Journal<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n<p>Since June 19, the company has stopped offering certain perks, including mobile-phone reimbursement, fitness, and remote-work allowances.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\"><p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Given the current market environment and regulatory climate, which, unfortunately, have led to a decline in profits, we must be more careful with our spending,&#8221; the platform&#8217;s spokesperson said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Further reductions may also be possible in the future, Binance said.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>At a meeting to mark <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/binance-chief-outlines-plans-to-mark-the-exchanges-sixth-anniversary\">the sixth anniversary<\/a> of the company, founder Changpeng Zhao said the firm remains profitable and is not facing any difficulties due to <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-files-suit-against-binance-and-changpeng-zhao\">the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission investigation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>According to The Wall Street Journal, in recent weeks Binance <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/binance-lays-off-more-than-1000-employees-reports-wsj\">cut more than 1,000 employees<\/a>. A exchange spokesperson confirmed the information but declined to provide specific figures.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in June, reporter Colin Wu said the company <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/media-reports-of-binance-layoffs\">began layoffs<\/a>, which would affect up to 20% of staff.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Binance <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/binance-chief-comments-on-top-executives-departure-amid-doj-investigation\">left a group of top executives<\/a>.
