{"id":81574,"date":"2023-07-11T16:51:12","date_gmt":"2023-07-11T13:51:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=81574"},"modified":"2025-09-11T23:45:45","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T20:45:45","slug":"consensys-launches-alpha-mainnet-for-linea-l2-platform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/consensys-launches-alpha-mainnet-for-linea-l2-platform\/","title":{"rendered":"ConsenSys launches alpha mainnet for Linea L2 platform"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Developers at ConsenSys<a href=\\\"https:\/\/linea.mirror.xyz\/7l9gKzYzKVOxEOnReavov467Ss_fsrkGzABvbRISPMY\\\">launched<\/a> the alpha mainnet of Linea <em>\u2014<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-layer%e2%80%912-solution-in-blockchain\">second-layer solutions<\/a> built on <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-are-rollups-and-how-do-they-scale-ethereum\">ZK-Rollups<\/a> technology.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The platform is fully compatible with <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-the-ethereum-virtual-machine-evm\">EVM<\/a> <em>\u2014 <\/em>supports mainnet code, and developers can use existing tooling and infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>ConsenSys said Linea aims to offer an economically efficient solution for developers and users, with transaction costs 15 times lower than Ethereum.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The project\u2019s ecosystem includes more than 100 protocols.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The solution will integrate<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-metamask\"> MetaMask<\/a>, Infura, Diligence and Hyperledger Besu.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\"><p>\\n<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abThe next chapter <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-web3\"><em>Web3<\/em><\/a><em> will be written on Ethereum L2. Linea is ready to become the main execution environment for scalable <span data-descr=\\\"decentralized applications\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">dapps<\/span>\u00bb,<\/em> <em>\u2014<\/em> said ConsenSys founder and CEO Joe Lubin.<\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Over the coming week, the team will bring on partners to integrate applications and the necessary infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>On July 19, during ETHCC, developers will open access to the general public.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The mainnet launch followed successful testing on the <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/consensys-developers-open-access-to-zkevm-testnet\">testnet<\/a> Goerli.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>At this stage, 5.5 million unique wallets were involved, and over three months they conducted more than 46 million transactions.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The developers said they have no plans to launch a utility token.
