The ZK Stack is our\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/joiXn23Syc\">pic.twitter.com\/joiXn23Syc<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 zkSync \u220e (@zksync) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/zksync\/status\/1673317167628967936?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 26, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The initiative could be a response to a similar move by Optimism, whose developers introduced a comparable project, Superchain.<\/p>\n<p>Based on Hyperchains, the Matter Labs team plans to build a network of interconnected blockchains that use <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-zero-knowledge-proof\">zero-knowledge proofs<\/a>. It is expected that zkSync Era will become the first \u201chyperchain.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cZK Stack is a way to create and deploy Hyperchains. It is a toolkit that allows the community to extend the system and begin working on realising its mission,\u201d<\/em> \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/post\/236322\/zksync-matter-labs-releases-zk-stack-for-building-hyperchains\">said<\/a> Anthony Rose, senior vice-president of technology at Matter Labs.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The architecture enables creating \u201cHyperchains\u201d at both the second level (working in parallel with zkSync Era) and the third level (built on top of this solution).<\/p>\n<p>Developers can tailor Hyperchains to the intended use of the blockchain. A desirable condition is launching their own sequencer. Matter Labs plans to introduce its decentralized analogue.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cZK Stack will give developers full sovereignty. From choosing the data-availability mode to using its own utility token to decentralise the sequencer. The open-source framework is compatible with <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-the-ethereum-virtual-machine-evm\"><em>EVM<\/em><\/a><em>, battle-tested and future-ready,\u201d<\/em> \u2014 the developers explained.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Hyperchains may interest teams that require:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a lightweight sequencer with low Rollups latency<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-are-rollups-and-how-do-they-scale-ethereum\">Rollups<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><span data-descr=\"decentralized applications\" class=\"old_tooltip\">dapps<\/span>, which can interact without the trust assumptions inherent in bridges;<\/li>\n<li>a closed private network connected to the ecosystem;<\/li>\n<li>a utility token as the base asset of the developed system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cHyperchains\u201d can be connected via the so-called \u201chyperbridges.\u201d The latter are designed to enable inter-network exchanges. The process will take a few minutes and will cost as much as a regular transaction. The system may resemble Cosmos with its IBC technology.<\/p>\n<p>Like OP Stack, the competitor ZK Stack is available under the MIT\/Apache open-source license.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cZK Stack will give developers full sovereignty.
