The same term was imposed on Han Chang-joon, the company&#8217;s former chief financial officer. They will be credited for time already served.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Segye Ilbo reported that Kwon denied the charges in court. He allegedly did not know that the Costa Rican passport was fake. He placed the entire blame on a Singapore-based agency whose name he could not recall.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI obtained the Belgian passport through another agency\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the CEO of TFL, there was no reason to doubt the authenticity of the Costa Rican document, as he had travelled with it for many years. Kwon also rejected accusations of financial donations to Milojko Spaji\u0107, the leader of the \u201cEurope Now!\u201d movement.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Korean media reports that for years, Do Kwon had secretly been sponsoring a prominent Montenegrin politician using illegal funds. In May, he and Han Chang-joon <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/do-kwon-pleads-not-guilty-to-document-forgery\">did not plead guilty<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In June, Kwon was released <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/do-kwon-and-han-chang-joon-released-on-bail-in-montenegro\">under house arrest<\/a>, with bail set at \u20ac400,000 ($436,000).<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, South Korea <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/south-korea-urges-extradition-of-do-kwon-to-his-homeland\">urged Montenegro to extradite<\/a> Do Kwon to his homeland.
