The Value Layer of the Internet would enable decentralised finance, digital property, new coordination mechanisms, and much more, the team said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Polygon 2.0 is a set of proposed updates that radically rethink almost every aspect of Polygon, from protocol architecture to tokenomics and governance,&#8221; the statement said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In the coming weeks, developers plan to examine each component of Polygon 2.0 in a series of posts, <span data-descr=\"AMA \u2014 ask me anything\" class=\"old_tooltip\">AMA<\/span>-sessions and with the help of other resources. Among the topics announced:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the future <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/proof-of-stake-how-it-works-and-why-it-is-so-popular\">POS<\/a>-network of Polygon;<\/li>\n<li>utility and evolution of the native token;<\/li>\n<li>a transition to broader community governance of the protocol and treasury.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Earlier, as the SEC defined the native token Polygon (MATIC) as a security, online broker Robinhood <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/robinhood-to-discontinue-support-for-cardano-polygon-and-solana\">announced the cessation<\/a> of support for the coin.
