Such estimates <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vaneck.com\/us\/en\/blogs\/digital-assets\/matthew-sigel-ethereum-price-prediction-118k-by-2030\/\">made<\/a> by VanEck after incorporating into the scenario model the use of cryptocurrency as an alternative to U.S. government bonds.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ethereum-activates-shapella-hard-fork-on-mainnet\">Shapella hard fork<\/a>, which allowed Ethereum to be withdrawn from <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-staking-and-how-to-make-money-from-it\">staking<\/a>, prompted a change in methodology.<\/p>\n<p>In their calculations, analysts assumed that the second-largest cryptocurrency would capture 70% of the smart-contract platforms market.<\/p>\n<p>This would be possible thanks to Ethereum&#8217;s status as the dominant global open-source settlement network, hosting a substantial portion of commercial activity with the greatest potential to benefit from its migration to the blockchain.<\/p>\n<p>The optimistic scenario foresees the asset price at $51,006 by 2030 and its current fair value at $23,072. In the pessimistic case, the figures are $343.3 and $155.3.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-1-11.webp\" alt=\"image-1-11\" class=\"wp-image-208482\"\/><figcaption>Data: VanEck.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Differences arise from divergences in forecasted shares of economic activity for each business category, which will be to some extent linked to smart-contract platforms such as Ethereum. This, in turn, derives from the pace of blockchain adoption.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts highlighted such areas:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fintech, banking and payments (FBP);<\/li>\n<li>metaverses, social networks and gaming (MSG);<\/li>\n<li>infrastructure (I).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-2-8.webp\" alt=\"image-2-8\" class=\"wp-image-208484\"\/><figcaption>Data: VanEck.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>FBP covers financial activity, including consumer and business payments, banking services and the exchange of value.<\/p>\n<p>MSG encompasses software and online business that revolve around online social networks, data gathering, gaming and value creation in the virtual world.<\/p>\n<p>I covers cloud computing, server space and distributed storage, as well as telecommunications and the internet.<\/p>\n<p>Components of the fair-value model include transaction fees net of coins taken out of circulation, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-mev-in-ethereum\">MEV<\/a>, and <span data-descr=\"security as a service\" class=\"old_tooltip\">Security as a Service<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Conceptually, the value of Ethereum can be used both within the network and beyond it to secure applications, protocols and the ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>Using projects such as <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/eigenlayer-team-launches-testnet-after-raising-50-million\">Eigenlayer<\/a>, coins can be applied to support such objects as oracles, sequencers, validators, bridges, contract agreements and, perhaps, new objects yet to be discovered, experts noted.<\/p>\n<p>In the long term, the hard fork <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/experts-discuss-shapellas-impact-on-the-ethereum-mainnet-and-price\">will lead to a positive trajectory for Ethereum&#8217;s price<\/a> by reducing investors&#8217; risk.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, exchange balances of the second-largest cryptocurrency <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ethereum-on-exchange-balances-near-record-lows\">neared<\/a> record lows.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The fair price of Ethereum is $5,300, and by 2030 the asset could rise to $11,800.
