This was stated by Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation Alexander Bornyakov.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"twitter-tweet\\\">\n<p lang=\\\"en\\\" dir=\\\"ltr\\\">Should Ukraine fully adopt the EU\u2019s MiCA regulations on crypto assets? I believe implementing only crucial provisions to facilitate crypto business adaptation to our jurisdiction\u2019s regulatory framework is the right way <a href=\\\"https:\/\/t.co\/11GEESbqfM\\\">pic.twitter.com\/11GEESbqfM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Alex Bornyakov (@abornyakov) <a href=\\\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/abornyakov\/status\/1660731896492351488?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\\\">May 22, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async=\\\"\\\" src=\\\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\\\" charset=\\\"utf-8\\\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>According to him, because the country has gained candidate status for EU membership, it is obliged to adapt its cryptocurrency legislation in line with the European market regulation framework.<\/p>\n<p>However, for faster adaptation of business in the initial phase, it may be possible to postpone the adoption of some provisions of this law, prioritising the gradual introduction of new regulatory mechanisms. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\u201cThis will allow the market to grow, and Ukrainian crypto business will have enough time to adapt to the new regulatory requirements. Thus, our legislation will already partially conform to European standards, which will help avoid over-regulation of the crypto sector,\u201d \u2014 <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/bornyakov\/posts\/pfbid036WNhVqMxjYN7u9Cty1tHFCHhX7NgBWybNhKEC5hVxzg6HpXWhLGVF5CuSXQ8PSaPl\\\">wrote<\/a> the official.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Bornyakov also confirmed the ministry&#8217;s plans for the swift launch of a legal crypto market in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, on May 16, the Council of the European Union, comprising 27 member states, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/eu-countries-back-regulation-bill-for-digital-assets\">unanimously approved<\/a> the MiCA bill.
