The calculations are contained in the <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchbook.com\/news\/reports\/q1-2023-crypto-report\">PitchBook report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In monetary terms, the figure was 11% lower than the previous quarter, and the number of deals closed was down 12.2%.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-282.webp\" alt=\"image-282\" class=\"wp-image-206805\"\/><figcaption>Data: PitchBook.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The main metrics showed mixed dynamics. Year-over-year, funding in seed rounds rose by 33.3%, in late-stage rounds by 209.22%, while early-stage funding fell by 16.7%.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts noted sustained investor interest in Ethereum-<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-layer%e2%80%912-solution-in-blockchain\">layer-2 solutions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Among notable deals, they highlighted <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/blockstream-raises-125-million-to-expand-hosting-services\">Blockstream $125 million<\/a> for Bitcoin mining infrastructure development, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/scroll-an-ethereum-scaling-startup-raises-50-million-at-a-1-8-billion-valuation\">Scroll \u2014 $50 million<\/a> to build a network based on ZK-Rollup.<\/p>\n<p>Experts also noted substantial fundraising by custodial services \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ledger-expands-series-c-funding-round-at-e1-3bn-valuation-about-1-42bn\">Ledger ($493 million)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/infrastructure-startup-taurus-raises-65-million-in-series-b\">Taurus ($65 million)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>PitchBook analyst Robert Le attributed the slowdown in venture activity to rising interest rates and the collapse of <span data-descr=\"Silicon Valley Bank\" class=\"old_tooltip\">SVB<\/span> \u2014 the backbone bank for such firms.
