Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/CCTP?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#CCTP<\/a>) is now on mainnet for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ethereum?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Ethereum<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/avax?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Avax<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ExIAWywNGt\">https:\/\/t.co\/ExIAWywNGt<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Circle (@circle) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/circle\/status\/1651212222973071362?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 26, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cCCTP eliminates the need for traditional bridges with a \u2018lock and mint\u2019 approach, improves liquidity within the blockchain ecosystem and enables developers to provide users with a seamless and secure way to move USDC across networks,\u201d the firm said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>When a transfer is requested, CCTP burns the amount of USDC specified by the user in the source network and mints an equivalent amount of coins for their wallet on the destination blockchain.<\/p>\n<p>According to the developers, the solution simplifies a number of use cases for the stablecoin, including depositing on <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-decentralised-exchange-dex\">DEX<\/a> across networks, cross-chain purchases and swaps.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cIn a single click you can move USDC from Avalanche to Uniswap to buy an Ethereum NFT and list it for sale on OpenSea,\u201d they said as an example scenario.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The team noted that several cross-chain protocols, including Celer, Hyperlane, LayerZero, Wormhole, and the MetaMask wallet, have expressed willingness to use CCTP.<\/p>\n<p>Circle issues the stablecoin on several networks, including <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-algorand-algo\">Algorand<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-avalanche-avax\">Avalanche<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-hedera-hashgraph-hbar\">Hedera<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-solana-sol\">Solana<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/circle-to-launch-usdc-stablecoin-in-the-cosmos-ecosystem\">Cosmos<\/a> and others.
