CoinDesk reports.<\/p>\n<p>The publication cites a statement by a politician to the Office of Government Ethics in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The Trump Digital Trading Cards series of 45,000 collectible tokens <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/trump-nft-collection-confounds-crypto-community-and-angers-its-supporters\">was released in December 2022<\/a>. Each card sold for $99. They sold out within 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p>The cards depict the former US president in various guises, including a superhero with laser eyes.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cryptoslam.io\/trumpdigitaltradingcards?tab=advanced&#038;period=7d\">CryptoSlam<\/a>, the total sales volume of Trump Digital Trading Cards exceeded $19 million. According to OpenSea data, 65% of NFT owners in the Trump collection hold only one token, while another 23% hold two to three.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in March, days before Trump faced 30 counts in an indictment, the trading volume of NFTs featuring his image <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/trump-nft-collection-trading-volume-surges-after-grand-jury-indictment\">jumped 440%<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In December 2021, former First Lady Melania Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/melania-trump-launches-nft-platform-solana-and-moonpay-distance-themselves-from-the-project\">launched an NFT platform<\/a> and unveiled her first digital artwork on the Solana blockchain.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sales of the NFT collection depicting Donald Trump earned the former US president between $100,001 and $1 million.
