In March the Ethereum team <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ethereum-developers-activate-shapella-hard-fork-on-goerli-testnet\">conducted the Shapella hard fork on the Goerli testnet<\/a>. Previously \u2014 activated the update on the Sepolia test network. The hard fork includes changes to the consensus and execution layers. Its main objective is to enable withdrawals of ETH from staking.<\/p>\n<p>Glassnode specialists reminded that centralized platforms like Kraken, Binance and Coinbase competed for staking inflows since the Beacon Chain\u2019s early days. However, they lost a significant market share, while the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.news\/cryptorium\/chto-takoe-lido\/\">DeFi platform Lido<\/a> has increased it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201eWhen the dust settled among the three giants, it was Lido that emerged victorious, continuing to dominate deposits inflows to this day\u201c, \u2014 the experts noted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the dashboard on <a href=\"https:\/\/dune.com\/hildobby\/eth2-staking\">Dune Analytics<\/a>, 18.2 million ETH are locked in staking \u2014 more than 15% of the coin\u2019s supply. Deposits were made by nearly 102,000 addresses.<\/p>\n<p>Over 26% of the total staking crypto is on Lido, Coinbase accounts for about 6%, Kraken around 2.3%.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/SbHODIfQxtNQUXbMyfnjSZQWEzk75JQDEfu42Nhl3eZ09vD6bHrrJNTHxaoGLnKr6F765tKD3tuMRApB9DxpCzNQqGQTzHTGs298ynNqamH7Xkqxw4-rZamCVyaCHzsJlndgnTM48JKzKqnZUZmESOk\" alt=\"Glassnode: Ethereum staking inflows declined ahead of Shapella\"\/><figcaption>Data: Dune Analytics.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In February Kraken <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/kraken-to-pay-30-million-to-settle-sec-charges\">settled the accusations<\/a> by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regarding the exchange\u2019s staking service. The agency classified the service as an unregistered securities offering.
