Berlin-based venture firm Bitkraft raised $220.6 million to launch its second fund for investments in the gaming Web3<\/a>-sector. According to a report filed with the SEC<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to the document, the entity named BITKRAFT Ventures Token Fund II is registered in Delaware, United States.<\/p>\n

In October 2021, the company launched a similar fund with $75 million in capital<\/a>.
Bitkraft partner Carlos Pereira, in an interview with CoinDesk<\/a>, said that, first and foremost, they view their work from the players’ perspective, not from the ‘GameFi paper’ side.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are, first and foremost, gaming investors with operational and investment experience. [\u2026] We are focused on writing excellent games using the blockchain tools we have,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In March, the venture firm participated in a $40 million funding round<\/a> for CCP Games developers. The latter will allocate the funds to the development of a Web3 game in the EVE universe.<\/p>\n

Pereira noted the importance of an “efficient business model” when simultaneously working with traditional capital and cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n

In February, Indian gaming startup Kratos Studios closed a $20 million funding round<\/a>, valuing the company at $150 million.<\/p>\n
