On March 28, the unknown attacker behind the DeFi protocol Euler Finance attack returned to the project 23,214 ETH<\/a> worth about $39.8 million and $10.7 million in DAI stablecoins<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The return of funds by the hacker, who called himself \u201cJacob\u201d, was accompanied by on-chain messages<\/a> in which he apologised for the breach.<\/p>\n

In another message<\/a> the hacker promised to return all remaining funds in the near term.<\/p>\n

Euler Finance representatives have not yet commented on the situation.<\/p>\n

Earlier, on March 13, Euler Finance was hacked<\/a> using flash loans<\/a>. The hacker withdrew from the protocol assets worth about $196 million. In particular, the hacker stole more than 85,800 ETH.<\/p>\n
