On March 14, Ethereum developers <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ethereum-developers-activate-shapella-hard-fork-on-goerli-testnet\">activated Shapella on the Goerli testnet<\/a>, which marked the final validation of the updates.<\/p>\n<p>Coinbase noted that no action would be required from users during the forthcoming forks. They will still be able to keep assets staking with an annual yield of up to 6%.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">4\/ There\u2019s no need to unstake \u2013 you can continue staking your ETH and earning up to 6.0% APY. However, Coinbase says it expects the network could experience a backlog.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Since the unstaking process is governed by the Ethereum protocol, and we are merely a conduit, we cannot precisely state the waiting period.
