They will no longer be linked to each other.&#8221;<\/em> \u2014 the blog says.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The update provides options to limit the amount of data sent to third-party services, as well as switching the <span data-descr=\"remote procedure call\" class=\"old_tooltip\">RPC<\/span>-provider from Infura by default. The latter is tied to ConsenSys, which also owns MetaMask.<\/p>\n<p>On November 24, 2022, ConsenSys<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/consensys-warns-that-infura-collects-user-data-in-metamask\"> announced<\/a> an update to the privacy policy, which drew widespread criticism from the community.
