His interests are represented by Edelson, a Chicago-based law firm.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cDoNotPay is actually not a robot, not a lawyer, and not a law firm,\u201d the complaint states.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Faridian asserts that he used DoNotPay to draft demand letters, arrange minor disputes and operating agreements with corporate entities. As a result he received \u201cpoor quality and poorly executed\u201d results.<\/p>\n<p>DoNotPay&#8217;s CEO Joshua Browder called the claims \u201cbaseless.\u201d According to him, Faridian \u201chad dozens of successful consumer-protection cases with DoNotPay.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">There are two problems, among others, with the case. First, the plaintiff has had dozens of successful consumer rights cases with DoNotPay, including canceling subscriptions, which he conveniently leaves out of the lawsuit. For example, in a recent deal with Facebook he earned $97.5 million. A minority of consumers received $375, and the majority, who could not fill out the complex \u201cdemand forms\u201d, \u2014 $0,\u201d wrote the startup\u2019s founder.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Edelson replied that Browder and his company are trying to \u201cdistract attention from their unlawful actions\u201d and that \u201cDoNotPay has deceived many people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in January, the startup <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/startup-offers-1-million-to-use-ai-in-u-s-supreme-court-cases\">offered lawyers $1 million<\/a> for using the AI attorney in any upcoming case before the U.S. Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p>In the same month, Browder said that professional associations in some states <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/developer-of-ai-lawyer-threatened-with-prison\">threatened him and his company<\/a> with lawsuits.
