Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin \u043e\u0442\u043f\u0440\u0430\u0432\u0438\u043b<\/a> 99 ETH (~$152,000 at the rate at the time of writing) to the address of the non-profit organization Ahbap, which is collecting funds for relief for those affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.<\/p>\n

The wallet, labeled Etherscan as Ahbap Yard\u0131m \/ Earthquake Support, accepts donations in ERC-20 tokens<\/a>. As of writing, the assets held at the address are valued at ~$2.2 million.<\/p>\n

The majority comes from USDT ($890,650), Ethereum ($618,000) and USDC ($410,000).<\/p>\n

According to Ahbap’s official site, the organization \u0441\u043e\u0431\u0440\u0430\u043b\u0430<\/a> over $4.2 million in cryptocurrencies. According to Nansen, more than $1.2 million has been received from transfers on the Avalanche network, around $892,000 on BNB Chain.<\/p>\n

According to latest data, the disaster has claimed the lives<\/a> of more than 25,000 people. In Turkey alone, more than 80,000 people have been injured. In terms of casualties, the earthquake sequence has been the deadliest since 2010.<\/p>\n
