If sold, this tranche of bitcoins would have yielded ~184,000%.<\/p>\n<p>The movement of long-dormant funds typically attracts the attention of the community. This usually concerns early Bitcoins.<\/p>\n<p>For example, in February 2021, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/unknown-mover-moved-2189-btc-that-had-lain-idle-since-2013\">were moved 2,189 BTC<\/a> (~$107.2 million at the time of the transactions) for the first time since the 2013 consolidation. In May, unknown <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/unknown-mover-moves-500-btc-dormant-since-2013\">moved 500 BTC<\/a> with a similar holding period. In September, there was <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/unknown-mover-transfers-616-2004-btc-that-had-lain-dormant-since-2012\">a transfer of 616 BTC<\/a>, &#8216;spawned&#8217; from 2012.<\/p>\n<p>In April 2022, unknowns <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-moved-from-five-wallets-dormant-for-more-than-12-years\">withdrew<\/a> 150 BTC from three wallets that had been stored there since 2009.
