It can be used to understand complex scientific discoveries, get inspired or read about the best football players, and then find suitable ball-handling drills.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cBard could become a launchpad for curiosity, [for example], helping explain the James Webb Space Telescope&#8217;s new discoveries to a nine-year-old child,\u201d Pichai wrote in a blog post.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video autoplay controls loop muted src=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Super_G_BRD2023_blogEXP_v024a.mp4\"><\/video><figcaption>The chatbot&#8217;s response to the query \u201cWhat can I tell a nine-year-old about the James Webb Space Telescope&#8217;s discoveries.\u201d Source: Google.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>According to Pichai, the lightweight version of the LaMDA model requires significantly less computing power. This enables scaling the chatbot to a larger number of users and obtaining more feedback.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe will combine external feedback with internal testing to ensure the quality of answers, their safety, and the veracity of real information,\u201d Pichai said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He added that soon AI-powered features in Search would transform complex information and different viewpoints into formats that are easy to digest.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the company plans to open access to the <span data-descr=\"Application Programming Interface \u2014 a description of how one computer program interacts with other programs\" class=\"old_tooltip\">API<\/span> for generative AI based on LaMDA for independent developers.<\/p>\n<p>Pichai said that after the closed testing stage with trusted testers in the coming weeks Bard will be available to the general public.<\/p>\n<p>The conversational AI of the company was likely a response to OpenAI&#8217;s popular ChatGPT service. The chatbot began to be called the \u201cGoogle killer\u201d due to its ability to quickly find answers to complex questions. This raised concerns at the tech giant.<\/p>\n<p>The Google leadership declared \u201ccode red\u201d and turned to the founders of the company, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, for \u201cadvice\u201d on AI development. Brin, according to Forbes, returned to work on the tech giant&#8217;s code. Employees noted that Brin had filed a request for access to the LaMDA code.<\/p>\n<p>In November 2022, OpenAI <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/openai-unveils-chatgpt-a-chatbot-designed-for-dialogue\">presented<\/a> a conversational AI chatbot with artificial intelligence called ChatGPT.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2023, Microsoft <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/microsoft-and-openai-seal-multi-billion-dollar-deal\">struck<\/a> a multibillion-dollar deal with an AI lab.
