Users pointed to a reduction in their privacy and increased risks of identifying individuals for law-enforcement purposes.<\/p>\n<p>On 6 December, in response to community concerns, the company<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/consensys-to-cap-storage-of-metamask-user-data-at-seven-days\"> explained<\/a> that it would shorten the retention period for collected IP identifiers and wallet addresses to seven days.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, on February 1, ConsenSys<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/consensys-launches-metamask-learn-an-educational-web3-platform\"> introduced<\/a> the educational<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-web3\"> Web3<\/a>-platform MetaMask Learn.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ConsenSys added privacy settings to the popular non-custodial wallet MetaMask in the browser extension to ease changing RPC providers.
