She said the cuts will primarily affect the sales function.<\/p>\n<p>The management attributed the move to falling demand for Chainalysis&#8217; services amid the crypto market downturn. Among other reasons are a shift toward developing new products with a focus on the financial sector, as well as greater emphasis on clients from government agencies.<\/p>\n<p>Since the beginning of 2023, reports of layoffs have come from <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/coinbase-to-lay-off-20-of-staff-in-third-round-of-layoffs\">Coinbase<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/consensys-reportedly-plans-to-lay-off-more-than-100-employees\">ConsenSys<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/digital-currency-group-closes-hq-digital-unit\">Genesis Trading<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/blockchain-com-to-cut-a-quarter-of-its-staff\">Blockchain.com<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/gemini-lays-off-10-of-staff-amid-genesis-troubles\">Gemini<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/dcg-backed-luno-to-cut-35-of-staff\">Luno<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/media-reports-layoffs-at-matrixport-owned-by-ji-han-wu\">Matrixport<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In January, it emerged that tech giant Google <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/google-parent-alphabet-to-cut-12-000-jobs-11674210626?mod=hp_lead_pos1\\\">will cut about 12,000 employees<\/a>.
