According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityam.com\/premier-leagues-first-nft-partnership-explained-inside-the-120m-deal-with-sorare\/\">CityAM<\/a>, the four-year deal is worth \u00a3120 million (about $150 million).<\/p>\n<p>Non-fungible token (NFT) buyers will be able to assemble their own teams from footballers&#8217; collectible cards for trading and online competitions with other players.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Digital cards and Sorare&#8217;s innovative online game represent a new way to feel closer to the Premier League. [\u2026] We consider Sorare the ideal partner,&#8221; said EPL CEO Richard Masters.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Sorare works with more than 300 football clubs and teams around the world. In September 2021 the platform <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sorare-nft-platform-raises-680m-at-a-4-3bn-valuation\">raised $680 million<\/a> at a valuation of $4.3 billion.<\/p>\n<p>In October the UK Gambling Commission <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/british-regulator-opens-investigation-into-sorare-nft-platform\">initiated an inquiry<\/a> into Sorare&#8217;s activities. Company representatives said they were prepared to engage with authorities.<\/p>\n<p>In November of the same year, the Russian Premier League (RPL), in partnership with Sorare <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/russian-premier-league-launches-nft-collection\">released an NFT collection<\/a> featuring digital cards of players from all 16 RPL clubs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sorare, the fantasy football platform, has signed a partnership with the English Premier League (EPL).
