Residents would be able to pay taxes and fees with digital gold.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2022, Rogers <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/arizona-lawmaker-proposes-legalising-bitcoin-as-a-payment-instrument\">introduced for consideration<\/a> a similar bill. It did not gain support. The US Constitution does not permit states to create their own legal tender.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Colorado Department of Revenue <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/colorado-allows-tax-payments-in-cryptocurrencies\">allowed<\/a> residents to make tax payments in digital gold, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin. Previously, in California there were proposals to pay for state services with cryptocurrency <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/california-lawmakers-propose-paying-for-government-services-with-cryptocurrency\">cryptocurrency for state services<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In May 2021, the authorities of Williston, North Dakota <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/us-city-allows-paying-utilities-with-bitcoin\">announced<\/a> a partnership with the processing service BitPay.
