The report is from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/science\/us-first-nuclear-powered-bitcoin-mine-opening-in-2023\/\">CNET<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The firm describes the facility as the first cryptocurrency mining operation in the United States powered entirely by nuclear energy with a net-zero carbon footprint.<\/p>\n<p>However, a number of industry players already use the nuclear power plant as a power source, for example <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/cleanspark-to-boost-capacity-of-purchased-mining-centre-by-50-mw\">CleanSpark<\/a>. According to the publication, the Oklo startup plans to build a small nuclear power plant for such purposes. The firm signed a 20-year agreement with mining company Compass Mining.<\/p>\n<p>The first client at the 48 MW facility will be TeraWulf.
