{"id":72782,"date":"2023-01-19T14:42:15","date_gmt":"2023-01-19T12:42:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=72782"},"modified":"2025-09-09T10:16:52","modified_gmt":"2025-09-09T07:16:52","slug":"ukraines-state-financial-monitoring-service-reports-blocking-of-russian-bitcoin-exchanges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/ukraines-state-financial-monitoring-service-reports-blocking-of-russian-bitcoin-exchanges\/","title":{"rendered":"Ukraine&#8217;s State Financial Monitoring Service reports blocking of Russian bitcoin exchanges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/fiu.gov.ua\/pages\/dijalnist\/funkcional\/news\/Informuvannya-pro-rezultati-roboti-derzhfinmonitoringu-za-2022-rik.html\">report<\/a> on the results of 2022, detailing the actions it took in relation to the cryptocurrency market.<\/p>\n<p>Together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and &#8220;key crypto experts,&#8221; the agency conducted work to identify and fully block the hosting of a number of Russian bitcoin exchanges associated with sanctioned banks.<\/p>\n<p>With the support of cryptocurrency providers, a mechanism for spontaneous blocking of Russian wallets was launched.<\/p>\n<p>The supervising authority also approached the Binance exchange with &#8220;concrete proposals to curb Russia&#8217;s aggression in the virtual assets market.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;[After its review] Binance changed its policy and since 20 March 2022 has restricted the ability to perform P2P transactions for a number of Russian banks and payment systems listed in the sanctions list.
