Data: Beosin.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Over the year, serious security incidents occurred across 20 public blockchains. The top three by losses were Ethereum, BNB Chain and Solana. Attacks and exploits were second in the tally \u2014 money-laundering schemes amounted to $7.33 billion. In about 86.4% of incidents, losses did not exceed $1 million.<\/p>\n<p><span data-descr=\"a practice of inflating the value of a token created in a liquidity pool, followed by a sharp withdrawal of funds; subsequently other pool participants are left with devalued assets\" class=\"old_tooltip\">rug-pull<\/span> of $425 million. In about 86.4% of incidents, losses did not exceed $1 million.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in December, U.S. authorities <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/puerto-rico-arrest-of-mango-markets-attacker\">arrested Avraham Eisenberg<\/a> for involvement in the attack on the DeFi platform Mango Markets.
